PELABUHAN RATU:
YELLOWFIN TUNA

The fishing season starts in January and ends in July. It revitalise again in
September and last all the way into December. During these long period, schools of Yellowfin Tuna in the weight class of 20kg to 60kg roam in the water of Pelabuhan Ratu. Fishing sites are spotted instantaneously when seagull dive onto the baitfish or when it spurs tremendous boils formed by the jumps and bait-balling by the Yellowfins. You may even encounter different schools at different directions, but at the same time. Easily, we lost count on the estimated number of schools around the boat. ... more photo |
